Frequently asked questions about Hetta-Pallas hike
The most important equipment are a tent, sleeping bag and big enough backpack.
You should bring appropriate hiking shoes and cooking utensils. You will also need appropriate clothing that includes a base layer, a middle layer and a wind- and waterproof shell layer.
You will get a complete list of items from us and tips where you could get them from. Most of the equipment you might already have.
Hiking in Lapland is usually more demanding than hiking in southern Finland. Not always because of the terrain but the weather that requires more from the hiking equipment. Also in an emergency it takes a lot longer for the help to arrive.
We recommend some experience from hiking before going on the Hetta-Pallas trail or at least take someone who is an experienced hiker with you.
If you have some previous experience from hiking then the Hetta-Pallas trail is perfect as the first hiking trail in Lapland.
The Hetta-Pallas trail is about 55km and it goes from the bottom of the fells to the top many times. It is recommended that you know your own physical limits before going for the hike.

The minimum number of participants is 2. If you want you can of course book and pay it for 2 persons and just appear yourself.
